Please join us at the Minneapolis American Indian Center to celebrate our community at our first Friday Family Fun Night!
We will be hosting a number of different activities through Two Rivers Gallery and our Native Fitness and Nutrition Program.
Two Rivers Gallery
Community Art Night: 5-8pm
In conjunction with the Dakota Isanti: Reclaiming Identity exhibit we invite you to stand in solidarity and join us to create blakets made of felted wool sweaters during our Community Art Night that we will then send up to the Water Protectors at Standing Rock.
If you have any old wool sweaters to donate please throw them in the washer and dryer to felt them and bring them the night of the event. If you have a sewing machine please feel free to bring it but all other materials will be provided.
Please feel free to bring a food dish to share.
Fitness and Nutrition Program
The Native Fitness and Nutrition Program is dedicated to improving health in the community by offering healthy nutritional information and physical activity opportunities.
Activities will include:
Cooking demonstrations
Activities for youth
Info about the program
Veterans Dinner: 4:30-7:30pm
All Native American Veterans and their guests are welcome; dinner will be served at 5:30
