The Minneapolis American Indian Center
Telling the Story
MAIC Archives - Construction
The Minneapolis American Indian Center (MAIC) has reached a major milestone with the completion of its newly renovated facility. Building on this work, MAIC is launching a project to engage the broader public and elevate awareness of the Native communities that have gathered at the Center since its founding in 1974.
Through research and elder interviews, the project will explore contemporary Indigenous histories and create inclusive opportunities for public dialogue, informing the development of a future interpretation plan strategy.
Community members are encouraged to get involved by attending events, sharing stories, and supporting this work through donations that help sustain MAIC’s programs and cultural initiatives.
