Telling the Story
MAIC Archives - Construction
The MAIC has accomplished a major milestone in the organization's history with its completion of the newly renovated facility. To further expand upon this work the organization is poised to engage the broader public and further foster awareness about our Native communities that have utilized the MAIC since its inception in 1974. The project will involve research and elder interviews with relevant community members, leaders, and stakeholders to explore contemporary Indigenous histories, locally and connect people through their experiences. This project will also focus on developing strategies to engage the public in meaningful dialogue. The project will develop an implementation strategy for the interpretation plan telling the story of the MAIC.
The MAIC is announcing an RFP for a Historian, Videographer and a Research Associate to help facilitate this work. The deadline to apply is May 26 at 5:00 pm CST.
